ULTIMATE SYSTEM INSTALLATION
1. Unpack unit and place on level site. 2. If equipped with Turbovortex, open dome and retrieve media inside. One bag of media goes into the Turbovortex, the other is an extra for future use. You can open the Turbo by loosening the lock ring and gently rocking the dome back and forth until it comes loose.
3 Inside a box there is the instructions for all the components, and the cap if you purchased a CHALLENGER series filter. Read and follow the instructions for setting up and operating the individual components. 4. If equipped with the Turbovortex, the bottom of the vessel is the inlet from the pond. If there is no Turbovortex, the inlet will be directly into the pump. Connect your lines to these fittings. Connect the supplied waste standpipe to the back of the Turbovortex.
5. The return line to the pond will be the discharge side of the Ultraviolet light. Connect your return lines to this fitting.
*NOTE* Some systems will have a 3 way valve installed after the filter and before the Ultraviolet light. It is used as a bypass line. You can install additional return lines to the open port.
***If you have an ultimate 100 or 140 system, you will receive 2 platforms with the equipment on them. Line up the black lines on the pad then use the connector pipe to connect the units together. PINNACLE ULTIMATES: THERE WILL BE 3 EQUIPMENT PADS; LEFT, CENTER, RIGHT. ALIGN WITH BLACK LINES ON PADS. ATTACH 2ND MULTIPORT(A) AND THEN ATTACH CONNECTOR LINES TO TURBOVORTEXES AND UV.
NOTE: ULTIMATE AND MINI ULTIMATE SYSTEMS THAT ARE EQUIPPED WITH THE EA SERIES UV WILL NEED TO ARRANGE THE UV FOR THEIR PARTICULAR INSTALLATION. THE EA SERIES UV CAN BE MOUNTED HORIZONTALLY, VERTICALLY, ON A WALL ON THE PAD ETC. THE INLET AND OUTLET ROTATE 360 DEGREES TO ACCOMODATE INDIVIDUAL APPLICATIONS. TO HOOK THE UV TO THE UNIT: ATTACH 2’’ PVC TO THE BOTTOM PORT OF THE 3WAY VALVE. IT IS THE GREY VALVE WITH THE RED HANDLE ATTACHED TO THE DISCHARGE SIDE OF THE MULTIPORT. THE 3RD OPEN PORT IS A BYPASS SETTING IN CASE YOU HAVE NEED TO DO MAINTENANCE ON THE UV. CONNECT 2’’ TO THIS PORT AND RUN TO POND IF DESIRED. IF YOU DO NOT CONNECT TO THE 3RD PORT, LEAVE CLOSED. AFTER YOU HAVE MOUNTED THE UV, ATTACH THE 2’’ PVC TO THE WHITE CONNECTOR ON THE EA UV. THE CLEAR CONNECTOR IS THE RETURN LINE TO THE POND.
